When bad weather hits, how do you know if a park is closed?

Ice.

Floods.

Downed trees.

Washed out trails.

Fire.

They happen and any one of them may close a trail or an entire park. During last week’s winter weather, many coastal, Columbia River Gorge and Willamette Valley  parks closed (some remain so for cleanup).

After the water recedes, park crews clean the campgrounds and day-use areas.
