Are you interested in the Sumpter-area gold mining history and paranormal activity? The Syfy channel has launched a new series filmed in the Sumpter area. “Ghost Mine” was filmed at the old Crescent Mine and follows a group of miners and paranormal investigators. The show debuted Jan. 16 with plenty of mine shaft footage, an interview with a local historian and Elkhorn Mountains scenery. Read the Eugene Register-Guard news story for more information.
