Grant’s Getaways: Trek into new territory (2013)

Make a full day or weekend by visiting Sarah Helmick State Recreation Site off Highway 99W north of E.E. Wilson Wildlife Area and Peavy Arboretum. The ponds at nearby Luckiamute Landing State Natural Area were a resource for gravel used at Camp Adair, now E.E. Wilson.

  1. Jeez, do we have to tell everybody about every darn place in the state? There is nothing at Luckiamute that will interest most people, so why mention it? It is nice and quiet right now. Enough! Leave a few places along.

  2. I have lived in Oregon for 23 years, and many of the places mentioned on “Grant’s Getaways” I have never heard of. His show gives our family new places to explore and enjoy. Please continue to inform and educate those of us that truly love your show.
