Spring Whale Watch Week runs March 19-26
Many of us take a Spring Break trip. But no one makes a 6,000-mile swim, unless you’re a whale!
Right now, 18,000 gray whales are migrating north past the Oregon Coast on an epic journey. They’re headed from their breeding grounds off Mexico’s Baja coast to summer feeding grounds in the Bering and Chukchi seas between Alaska and Russia.
You can see them from 24 Whale Watching Spoken Here sites March 19-26. From 10 a.m.-1 p.m., trained volunteers are stationed to answer your questions and share whale watching tips to help you spot a giant!
Can’t make it to the coast next week? Visitors to the Depoe Bay Whale Watching Center usually spot gray whales year-round.
